Okay, this is just silly, but I was thinking about it on the way to work today while brainstorming the ideas for the Garden. I thought it would be cool if each of the garden bosses had a chance to drop a mount, mostly because I thought the Ooze Bosses mount would be so cool. How awesome would it be to have one of these things with a saddle on it that you could ... like, oooooze around on?Then I began thinking about the other bosses in the garden, and realized that the most legendary mount of all would have to be the Rock Mount.
It's just a boulder that you summon; it doesn't even have a saddle on it. It doesn't even move, it just.... sits there. People would break it out anytime a raid was doing summons at a stone, or just sit on it at the stairs to the bank in Dalaran. It would be the ultimate joke mount.
Then I thought further about it. How awesome would it be if it didn't take fall damage? Like, you could mount it, and just 'drop like a rock' to the earth below? The problem here is that the mount doesn't move at all. It just sits there. I guess you could do something lame like have it able to 'jump' a tiny bit, and kind of wiggle it towards an edge, then teeter over it, but WAY cooler would be to have it be instantly castable, like druid's flight form. You could dismount from your regular mount, and pop this bad boy out on the way down.
Then I began thinking... omg how awesome would it be if you could land on someone and inflict damage?! People would cry about it, but they cry about everything. For some reason having a rock fall on your head out of the sky is more game breaking than just landing beside you and pyroblasting your face in. Okay... so how could we tune it? Make it so, if falling, a meter builds up... like if you're flying along on your regular mount, and see a gnome up ahead, and then pop off that mount onto your rock and whack him from 50 feet up, the damage is negligible. But if you can sail through the air on this rock that's totally unsteerable, and somehow manage to land with pinpoint accuracy on someone's head from 1000 yards up, it hits for 10k. The ability to actually do this is so limited that if you manage to somehow pull it off (while also having the .001% drop mount from the 1 in 4 boss of the garden), then hell... you earned it.
Just make 'falling' while on the rock a channeled spell. The maximum fall distance is like 10 seconds, so if you're falling for 5 seconds, you do 50% of the maximum 10k damage.

Never going to happen, but it would be awesome :)
